Every aspect of Huntlee’s development has been carefully planned to support a thriving, connected community. As a master-planned estate, Huntlee will grow to welcome up to 20,000 residents across three villages, surrounding a vibrant 200ha town centre.

This friendly neighbourhood hub fosters connection and belonging, with an array of shops and services already in place, including Coles, Mobil Petrol Station, Liquorland, Bridgestone, Supercheap Auto, a medical centre, dentist, chemist, gym, cafés, fast food outlets, and the iconic Huntlee Tavern.

The Huntlee Community Plan was established to nurture a happy, vibrant community, now and for generations to come. Over the next 20 years, more than $1.5 billion will be invested into Huntlee, supporting our vision for a connected, active, and sustainable lifestyle. With a focus on enhancing the natural environment, creating local jobs, and providing modern conveniences, Huntlee is a place to grow, connect, and belong.

Huntlee is making history. Huntlee’s first village, Katherine’s Landing is named in honour of the first family of wine-growing in the Hunter region. It pays homage to the pioneering viticulturalists of the area. When 20-year-old Katherine Busby boarded the good ship Triton in England in 1824, little did she know that on that voyage she would meet her future husband, and that together they would help shape the future of one of Australia’s most famous wine-growing regions.

The ‘landing’, of Katherine's Landing, is a nod to the private aeroplane landing strip belonging to a local farmer, and once ran along the ridgeline at Katherine’s Landing. This area will be maintained as a public open space and offers the perfect vantage point to look out over the village.
