Stuck on what to do for Valentine’s Day this year? Well, we’ve collated a list of our favourite must-do activities that your partner (and you) are sure to love!
Indulge in a wine and chocolate tasting
If you know your partner has more of a sweet tooth, why not indulge in a chocolate and wine tasting? Tulloch Wines offers an amazing tasting of 5 chocolates and wine pairings and is the perfect treat for those willing to try something new!
Enjoy a romantic candle-lit dinner
Treat your partner (and yourself) to a delicious meal at one of the extravagant fine-dining restaurants here in the Hunter Valley. We recommend trying out the award-winning Circa 1876 restaurant where you can dine under classical chandeliers overlooking the hinterlands.
Book a hot air balloon ride for 2
Watch the sunrise as you float over Australia’s premier vineyard region. Sure to impress, these balloon rides can be booked as a private flight or with the public. You can even include a delicious breakfast at Peterson House in your booking for after your flight.
Have a picnic
Pack yours and your partners' favourite treats and picnic blanket to have a romantic picnic in the park or lookout. Our favourite spots are the Mount Bright Lookout, overlooking some of the best vineyards in the Hunter, and the newly completed Huntlee District Park, which is the perfect spot for your kids to take on the play equipment while you sit back and relax. You can even book a picnic experience where all the organising and hard work is done for you. Check out the Grazing on the Grounds experience at Tyrrell’s winery.
Bike through the vineyards
For those who live a more active lifestyle, hire out a couple of bikes and travel around the vineyards. If you would prefer a tour, there are various tour companies who will make your experience a little easier. Check out Bike Hire Hunter Valley for all your bicycle needs.
